Jean Doran is an artist, illustrator, and graphic designer based in Brooklyn. He graduated from Pratt Institute in 2025 with a BFA in Communications Design. He won the 2026 Science Fiction Award from Cartoonist’s Cooperative, RisoRama’s 2025 student award, and completed his SVA RisoLAB Artist Residency in the summer of 2025.
He is one of the main coordinators of Bad Dog Print, which is a collective of artists, illustrators, designers, drawers, painters, book makers, self publishers, party animals, nerds, and jocks. Bad Dog hosts events, tables at fairs in NYC, and even travels to far away places (like Canada) to spread print love. Bad Dog has tabled at events such as Printed Matter’s New York Art Book Fair (2025), East Village Zine Fair (2024), and Brooklyn Art Book Fair (2024).
